Executive Director & Founder

Wanda Johnson

Wanda was instrumental in creating Benevolent Kicks, and she is a founding member of the Board of Directors. Her commitment to volunteerism began in college when she participated (as case manager) in a reunification program of female ex-offenders with their children. She served as an intake coordinator with Urban Ministry and also led successful fundraising campaigns in her college Human Services club.

Her previous work experience consisted of working with peers as a community advocate to increase self-sufficiency and provided referrals to community organizations. Wanda is a North Carolina native and has lived there for most of her life. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from William Peace University and a Master of Arts degree in Human Services: Marriage and Family Counseling from Liberty University.

She lives by the philosophy, “To whom much is given, much is required.” Wanda is confident that providing NEW shoes to children in need is hers & the Benevolent Kicks' team purpose to fulfill. Wanda is so thankful for the opportunity to work with the greatest team ever!
